Finished Vision Screening Reports

Tecate, Mexico

On Saturday, July 9th, 2011: Friends in Sight did a vision screening in conjunction with the Tecate Lions Club in Tecate, Mexico. We departed our Yucaipa staging area at 5:00am, Hemet at 5:45am and Menifee at 6:30am. At 8:10am we arrived at Barrett's Junction for breakfast. By 9:10am we had crossed the border and were headed for the Lions Club house.

With the eyeglasses and examination equipment set up, the vision screening began at 10:00am. The last patient of the day was leaving with their recycled eyeglasses at 2:30pm.

Listed below is a synopsis of the screening findings:

After the eyeglasses and examination equipment was repacked we sat down to some nice conversation and a great meal with the Tecate Lions Club. With salutations said we departed for the border and crossed at 4:30pm. By 5:00pm we had reached our pit stop in Rancho San Diego. Thirty minutes later we were off to our staging area in Menifee and arrived at 7:00pm. Our Hemet staging area was reached at 7:30pm and Yucaipa at 8:00am.

It was a nice day for helping others and training a few new faces from the Mexico side of the border. Listed below are those who participated directly in the screening:
