Finished Vision Screening Reports

Tecate, Mx

On Saturday, September 15th, 2012: Friends in Sight did a vision screening with the Tecate Lions Club in Tecate. We departed our Yucaipa staging area at 5:05am, Hemet at 5:35am and Menifee at 6:30am. At Barrett's Junction we stopped for breakfast and picked up more of our party from the Seal Beach Lions Club. By 9:00am we were headed for the USA/Mexico border and crossed at 9:30am.

After set up, the vision screening began at 10:00am and the last patient of the day was leaving with their recycled eyeglasses at 5:00pm. Listed below is a synopsis of the day's vision screening findings:

With the eyeglass racks and examination equipment repacked we sat down to a nice meal provided by the Tecate Lions. The food and conversation was great as usual. After the meal and before departing a nice ceremony was done to celebrate and recognize the efforts and life of one of our amigos that recently passed. The joint effort and with the presence of Clemente's immediate family was very touching to all. We will all miss our friend Clemente.

With our goodbye's said we departed for the border at 7:00pm and crossed at 7:30pm. Our pit stop in Rancho San Diego was reached at 7:30pm. By 10:00pm we had arrived in Menifee, 10:30pm in Hemet and 11:00pm in Yucaipa.

It truly was a great day of showing what WE SERVE is all about. Listed below are those that participated directly in the vision screening:
