Finished Vision Screening Reports

San Bernardino, CA

On Saturday, February 6, 2016, Friends in Sight did a vision screening in San Bernardino, California in conjunction with the Grand Terrace Lions Club.

We departed the Yucaipa staging area at 6:30am and arrived at the screening location at 7:00am. The vision screening began at 8:00am and the last patient of the day was leaving with their recycled eyeglasses at 5:30pm.

Listed below is a synopsis of the day's vision screening findings:

• 399 patients were seen for the day.
• Of the 399, 20 needed no prescription, 10 need to be made at the optical lab and 369 received recycled eyeglasses.
• 1 patient needs a 3 month follow up on background diabetic retinopathy.
• 3 patients need cataract surgery on at least one eye.
• 11 patients need assessment/treatment for glaucoma.
• 2 patients need laser treatment for secondary cataracts.
• 1 patient needs surgical treatment for ptosis.
